Orient Legal was founded in 2014 to provide strategic, dependable counsel in matters where legal detail and commercial consequence are inseparable. The firm grew from years of courtroom experience, academic rigour and a belief that the law should give clients confidence—not unnecessary complexity.

Before founding the firm, M. Shafiqur Rahman spent a decade in the chambers of the late Dr M. Zahir, one of Bangladesh’s leading corporate-law practitioners. That grounding continues to shape our work: careful preparation, independent judgment and a close understanding of each client’s objectives.

Today, we advise on transactions, regulation and disputes, and represent clients before the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, statutory authorities, tribunals and arbitral forums. Across every mandate, our role is the same: to make the legal path ahead clear, practical and well considered.
